لا حكّام ملاكمة دوليين في لبنان

على اثر إبلاغ اتحاد الملاكمة بضرورة قيادة نزالات الألعاب الفرنكوفونية من قبل حكّام دوليين، سارع رئيس الاتحاد محمود حطّاب الى فتح قنوات التنسيق مع اللجنة الوطنية للألعاب الفرنكوفونية بهدف تأمين حكّام من الخارج نظراً لعدم وجود حكام دوليين في لبنان، علماً أن عكيف الحركة وكارول عبود يحملان الشارة القارية. وأمل حطّاب من بعض الحكّام المحليين المتخرجين منذ شهر مواصلة مسيرتهم وصولاً الى الفوز بالتصنيف الدولي "لأن ذلك يساعد على تطوير اللعبة".

Yass He Can !

Humour « Je s'appelle Yass et je viens de loin ». C'est sous cet intitulé introductif que Yasser Hachem, un gentleman rieur d'origine libanaise, officie sur les planches du Monnot*.
À noter que ce spectacle, qui se joue ce soir, demain et samedi, à 20h30, au théâtre Monnot, est organisé par le Comité national des Jeux de la francophonie en collaboration avec le ministère du Tourisme, dans le cadre des VIes Jeux de la francophonie.
« Je suis libanais, africain, sénégalais, ivoirien, un peu français, un peu bédouin. Je suis pas blanc, je suis pas noir, j'ai une couleur un peu bizarre, mais j'ai pas de problème de peau parce que je me sens beau dans votre regard. » Il s'appelle Yass. Il a 39 ans et il vient de loin. Pas si loin, en fait. Car, comme son nom l'indique, Yasser Hachem est d'origine libanaise. Ses parents font partie de ces nombreux Libanais ayant émigré en Afrique. Il est donc né à Dakar. Et a vécu au Sénégal jusqu'à l'âge de 18 ans. Après son bac, il va étudier à Paris où, en parallèle à ses cours de gestion, il fréquente beaucoup plus assidûment le cours de théâtre (Viriot) du soir que celui de gestion du matin. Mais il obtient quand même son diplôme et retourne vivre en Afrique où il établit un business assez lucratif et une troupe de théâtre (Le prêt à jouer) qui présente un spectacle par an. Puis un beau jour, avec l'aval de sa femme, il décide de tout plaquer, grande maison avec piscine et dépendances, pour réaliser son rêve : monter sur scène. Aujourd'hui, il vit dans le IXe arrondissement de Paris et joue son one man show au cours duquel il raconte sa vie « hors du commun », avec humour et émotion.
Si, comme disait l'autre, le comique, c'est se moquer des autres, et l'humour, c'est se moquer de soi, alors Yass est certainement un humoriste qui parle à cœur ouvert.
Et s'il a l'air de bien savoir manipuler l'humour, cette arme de distraction massive, Yass donne surtout l'impression d'être un humoriste existentiel en quête d'émotions, qui revendique (non sans ironie) le fait d'être apatride, donc humain.

Thousands head to Lebanon for Francophone Games

BEIRUT: More than 3,000 people will head to Lebanon this September to engage in diverse sports and cultural activities as part of the 6th Francophone Games from September 27 till October 6. The Games, held every four years since the first in 1987 under the auspices of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), will be held in Lebanon this year, with Morocco, France and Niger as previous hosts.
Sports competitions such as athletics, football, basketball, ping-pong and boxing are on the schedule as well as cultural events including painting, music, photography and literature.
A national committee (CNJF) was formed to organize the games with the collaboration of the OIF and the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the efforts of over 500 volunteers. “This event is a huge opportunity for Lebanon on the economic, tourist and cultural level” said CNJF official Hind Darwish. “We have been preparing for over a year and we expect the opening ceremony to be a sensational one.” she added.
Darwish, who is responsible for the culture department, also explained that this event is an opportunity to portray a good image of the country, saying: “Politicians should realize the ampleness of these games and help us with our goals. Let’s show that Lebanon is not only a land of conflicts.” She added that with all the recent political uncertainties, the ministries haven’t been very generous with their funding. “They should get more interested in the Games for Lebanon’s sake.” she said.
The sites stretch from Sport City Camille Chamoun Stadium in Beirut to the Rafik Hariri Stadium in Sidon for the sports games and from UNESCO Palace to the Casino du Liban theater for the cultural activities. The campus of the Lebanese University in Hadath will also be transformed into a “Francophone Village” to host the thousands of participants.
Around 50 of the 70 francophone countries have already signed up for the games this year. Beirut’s hotels and restaurants will be booked and transportation from and to each site is coordinated with the Interior Ministry. “The games are an opportunity for all Lebanese,” said Darwish.
She hoped that all cultural events take place this summer to further promote the Games. “The committee also sponsors cultural events outside the Games such as the recent concert for Canadian singer Garou,” she said.
An array of activities took place under the auspices of the Francophone Games and numerous projects are scheduled before the opening ceremony. The latter includes a photography exhibition and an open air screening of Lebanese and foreign films in the heart of the Beirut suburb of Burj Hammoud starting July 26.
“Workshops will also be held during the Francophone Games and we encourage everyone francophone or not to attend and support our national candidates” said Darwish.
